Julien Alfred continued her undefeated streak in the 2025 season, powering to a commanding win in the women’s 100 metres at the BAUHAUS-galan Diamond League meeting in Stockholm, Sweden, on Sunday.

The 24-year-old Olympic champion clocked a blistering 10.75 seconds, setting a new meet record and securing her second victory in just three days. Her performance not only eclipsed the previous Stockholm meet record of 10.90 but also improved on her own season’s best of 10.89, which she recorded days earlier in Oslo.

Police Marine Unit Investigates Fatal Boating Incident at Canaries Bay. On Tuesday May 3, 2025, about 1:49 p.m. the Police Marine Unit responded to a
fatal collision involving a vessel and diver, off Canaries. On arrival, an investigation
into the circumstances surrounding the incident was launched.
The victim was assessed and pronounced dead on the scene by a medical practitioner.
He has been formally identified as Nelson James of Anse La Raye. A post-mortem
examination of the deceased is scheduled for a later date.
