Three young swimmers from RR Aquatics Swim Club selected to represent Saint Lucia at the 29th Goodwill Swimming Championships
The Goodwill Swimming Championships is a premier regional competition that brings together the best young swimmers from across the Caribbean. Selection to the national team is a major milestone in any swimmer’s journey, and the RR Aquatics Swim Club is delighted that three of their very own athletes will carry Saint Lucia’s flag in one of the most competitive age-group swimming meets in the region.
“We are extremely proud of Orlando, Andrew, and Liam,” said the Club’s head coach Roosevelt Romain. “Their discipline, determination, and love for the sport have brought them to this moment.Competing at the Goodwill Championships is not only a personal achievement but also an opportunity to showcase the talent emerging from Saint Lucia.”
This selection is a testament to the Club’scommitment to developing young swimmers both in and out of the pool. It also
highlights the important role of community and family support in nurturing
athletic talent at an early age.
The RR Aquatics Swim Club welcomes swimmers of all ages and backgrounds, and we are committed to providing opportunities regardless of financial means. Our mission is to promote excellence, discipline, and inclusivity in swimming, providing a positive outlet and strong foundation for future success—both in and out of the pool.
We are thankful to Ms. Katrin Roth who presented one of our swimmers Orlando Felix with Arena equipment including a backpack, goggles and goggles case. This heartwarming gesture serves to motivate our swimmers and will certainly ensure that he is prepared to represent Saint Lucia.
A fundraising and sponsorship drive in underway to raise funds to offset the costs to parents and guardians of swimmers and the Club to travel to Grenada to participate in the upcoming Grenfin Swim Club Invitational Meet from 25th – 29th September 2025. We believe this meet will not only offer invaluable competitive experience but also inspire our swimmers to continue striving toward their goals.
RR Aquatics encourages the public and corporate partners to support the Club and our young swimmers as they aspire to excel not just locally but regionally and internationally.
