On Tuesday, June 3, 2025, about 9:45 p.m. Police Officers attached to the Anse La Raye Police Station, responded to a report of an assault at Au Tabor, Anse La Raye.Initial inquiries revealed that one (1) unconscious male was discovered with an apparent wound, on the roadside at Au Tabor, Anse La Raye. The victim was transported to the (OKEU) Owen King European Hospital via ambulance.

UPDATE

On Friday, June 13, 2025 officers of the Anse La Raye Police Station received information from a medical practitioner the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by a medical practitioner. The deceased has been identified as sixty (60) year-old Calixtus George of Au Tabor, Anse La Raye. On Wednesday June, 16, 2025 Joel Regis was arrested and charged for Murder in relation to the death of Calixtus George. He was escorted to the First District court for bail purposes and bail was denied, he was remanded to the Bordelias Correctional Facility.
