Ti Morne Community Shaken After Fatal Stabbing Claims Local Resident.
A quiet Sunday afternoon in Ti Morne, Union, was disrupted by a tragic act of violence that left one man dead and an entire community in shock.
At approximately 5:40 p.m. on May 11, 2025, the Babonneau Police Station received a report of a stabbing in the Ti Morne area. Officers responded immediately and arrived at the scene shortly afterward to investigate the incident.
Police discovered an unresponsive male with visible stab wounds lying a short distance from the main roadway. The victim was later identified as 44-year-old Jeramiah Precius, a resident of the Ti Morne community. He was quickly transported to the Owen King EU Hospital, but despite the efforts of medical personnel, he was pronounced dead.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, and authorities have not yet disclosed any information regarding possible suspects or motives. Residents in the area expressed concern over the rising number of violent crimes, calling for more visible policing and community intervention.
